Runway Latinx (RLx) is a three day event that is hosted and benefitting Pivoting in Heels, NFP, a non-profit that empowers women. For 14 years, RLx has become one of the more important and successful fashion events in the city. In addition, RLx is a platform for the exchange of experiences, developing business opportunities and creating new, long lasting relationships.
This year’s theme is “the Reboot.” The many facets of our lives have had an opportunity to shut down, and now we get to Reboot: in fashion, in health, in wealth, and just overall. In general we at RLx and Pivoting In Heels feel there is an opportunity to come out “even better than before". RUNWAY LATINx will be on Friday, October 14th - Sunday, October 16th:. A 3-day closing event to the Hispanic Heritage Month.
RUNWAY LATINx CALENDAR OF EVENTS:
Friday, October 14th (6 - 8pm): “Meet the Designers”
Welcome Reception On the evening of day one, join the RLx Movement with the “Meet the Designer” and enjoy cocktails and drinks. We will host a meet and greet with this year’s local, national, and international designers, and feature informal modeling.
Saturday, October 15th (6 - 10pm): “the Reboot” - VIP Reception plus.
The runway show showcases 3 Latino designers, hailing from LuMen from Albuquerque, Carmen Seminario from Peru and Panni Margot from Argrentina. The evening will begin with VIP reception featuring renowned chefs and mixologists, followed by a catwalk featuring nationally and internationally designers. The show will be emceed by Lourdes Duarte from WGN News, and DJ Eliana Mockler will spin.
Sunday, October 16th (12:30 - 4:30pm): Women’s Empowerment Day A full day dedicated to women’s empowerment, self-care, and some shopping!
