The HOLIDAYS are here! With the lighting of the tree on Michigan Avenue, to Christkindlmarket, to the many holiday themed shows in the theater district, these are the things that make the holidays what they are in Chicago. To make the holiday spirit even more magical, we are excited to have Macy's and the Chicago Fashion Incubator host a truly unique holiday event! Join us as we go behind the scenes on an exclusive tour of the iconic window displays at Macy's, the festive holiday decorations throughout the store including the Walnut Room, and an insight on the history of the iconic former Marshall Field's building. We then will make our way to the Chicago Fashion Incubator offices and end the night with cocktails, small bites, and of course fashion networking!

We are excited to have Chip Hendon from Macy's leading the tour and Anna Hovet Dias, executive director of the Chicago Fashion Incubator (CFI) host guests at the their offices for a meet and greet with their resident designers as well as learn about the latest happenings at CFI. CFI provides emerging Chicago-based designers-in-residence (DIR) with the resources, business acumen, and mentoring to launch their careers in fashion.

We are grateful to collaborate with both Macy's and CFI on this unique and educational event.

Arrival:

This event will kick off at the East Entrance (Wabash St) of Macy's. Once you enter, meet on the 1st floor of Macy's near the neon clock located next the customer service desk.

Parking: Spothero (preferred) or metered street parking (difficult to find)

Evening’s Schedule:

6:00 – 6:15: Arrival and assembly of tour at Macy's on State Street.

6:15 – 7:00: Macy's holiday tour led by Chip Hendon

7:00 – 8:00: Cocktails and bites at the Chicago Fashion Incubator Offices (located on LL of Macy's)
