The Gift of Knowledge: Winter Workshop Series: Upcycling 101

As upcycling becomes more well-known culturally, more and more folks are curious about trying to start re/making their own clothes! This is a great class for anyone who has used a sewing machine before but isn't sure exactly how to go about remaking their own clothes.

Workshop participants will come out of the workshop with a newly remade sweatshirt! All textiles provided by the shop.

Self-taught sewist & shop co-owner, Elena, will teach simple techniques for recreating and repurposing fabrics. Elena has been re-making her own clothes since she was a child and started her own fashion line a year ago, Frankenstein Wearable Collage, which focuses on repurposing fabrics/textiles to create patchwork in many forms.

All class participants will receive 20% off any in-store purchases on the day of their class.

There is one FREE space in each class for anyone for whom the cost is a burden. Please email sohappyurhere@gmail.com to enter yourself as a potential recipient. Names will be chosen at random and notified by 12/31/2023.
