Enjoy a fun afternoon with Why Not Petites! Come network at a beautiful new studio space with other professionals in the industry such as photographers, models, make up artist, agents, and creative directors. We will hear from the founder of Why Not Petites, about the company, and what you can expect to see next.
Tickets are $20 which will include a free drink card and free bites. During our event, we will have a photo booth station, additional drinks to purchase from our bartender, including our signature "Picture Me Pretty" drink, a raffle, and music!
A few of our raffle items will include: a posing class with the founder of Why Not Petites, a photoshoot with a top notch Chicago photographer, 2-week class passes to Barre Fitness, a designer skirt and a few others.
Why Not Petites is a group of petite models striving to break barriers in the fashion industry, change the stigma around the word petite, and open eyes to the untapped market of talent in women 5'6 and shorter.

The fashion industry is notorious for excluding "others" in every form of the word. Today, the standards have begun to change. We see plus size models on the runway, nonbinary on billboards, and people with disabilities on the covers of magazines. Sadly, the industry still falls short when it comes to recognizing shorter models. Why Not Petites hopes to elevate that oversight and help push petite models to the forefront of the industry.
Mission: Why Not Petites gives petite models of all shapes, sizes, and colors the opportunity to display their talents. We are petite models breaking barriers and societal norms in the fashion industry.
Vision: Through our combined knowledge and experience of the modeling industry, we help guide experienced and beginning petite models towards a confident start in their career. Our work includes opportunities for guest models to participate in professional photoshoots, networking connections with others in the industry, and access to top fashion photographers in the Chicagoland area. We hope to be a home base for models who are driving positive change for petites in the industry.
