The Curio’s “A Celebration of Chicago Style”

OPENING NIGHT OF CHICAGO FASHION WEEK

The Curio kicked-off Chicago Fashion Week with a display of 7 great Chicago-based designers at the magnificent Chicago Cultural Center before a capacity crowd of 500 guests.

Participating designers: Barbara Bates, Christina Karin, Gente Fina, I Am Studios, Justin LeBlanc, Maria Pinto & Sheila Rashid

The inaugural $10,000 Ceta Walters Fashion Content Creator Award was also bestowed on winner Amy Anderson who was chosen by a Selection Committee comprised of Janet Mandell, Helen Berkun, Blake Gifford, Christine Griffith & Tali Kogan. Finalists included Grace Andrews, Elliot Duprey, Sammy K & Wale Sanni.

The event was supported by the donation of the venue by The City of Chicago, Select Models Chicago, hair styling by Tricoci Salon & Spa, make-up artistry by Ashunta Sheriff, fashion show production by Zzazz Productions & Show Sounds by DJ Akib, Styled by Sal Yvet, florals by Hola Lola Florals Co. with beverages from: Inspiro Tequila, Playpen Vodka, and sparkling, white & rose from Mmmm…Enjoy wines, with light bites by The Hearty Boys. DJ Andrew Emil kept things likely at the two Receptions. And thanks to Celeste for hosting the after-party!
