The Curio x 21c Museum Hotel Announce Holiday Fashion Soiree Line-Up
On December 21st from 5:30-8pm, The Curio is hosting Chicago’s most fashionable holiday party with 21C Museum Hotel. Over 200 of Chicago’s fashion community will come together to celebrate the successes of 2022 and all to come in 2023.
Network with other creatives while enjoying complimentary beverages and light bites. Attendees will have the opportunity to check out 21C's extensive contemporary art collection while creating connections that can help grow their businesses as we head into the new year.
But that's not all; three of Chicago's hottest designers will be debuting their New Year's Eve-themed looks on local influencers to help give the crowd a little inspiration for their own holiday looks! And stay tuned for a very special announcement about The Curio and 21C's upcoming partnership. Event attendees will be the first to find out what we have up our stylish sleeves, and believe us when we say you won't want to miss out!
While this is a fashion industry event, we’re making a few tickets available for the general public, so be sure to purchase yours if you’d like to attend. All proceeds from the tickets will go to support our charity partner, the Chicago Fashion Coalition, whose mission is to disrupt the status quo in the fashion industry while elevating local designers and fostering connections within the creative community to each other and to much-needed resources.
The Designers Shaping Chicago's Fashion Scene

It wouldn’t be a fashion event without a little show! The event’s centerpiece will be the presentation of unique New Year’s Eve-inspired fashion looks from three rising Chicago fashion design stars - CIPRIANAMÍA, Swaby, and Veronica Sheaffer. Each one of this talented trio worked with a content creator to bring their version of a festive party look to life just in time for the holiday season.
Here's a little more about some of the designers-
CIPRIANAMÍA – Designer Nelissa Carrillo will show two coordinated looks from her SS23 line at our event. The talented designer draws on inspiration ranging from her Mexican heritage to art and ideas around individuality. The result is a beautiful, luxurious line unlike anything on the market.
Swaby - This incredible Chicago designer creates avant-garde looks. These sculptural pieces are works of art-many of which are hand finished by designer Shernett Swaby herself. Shernett was also a top 5 finalist on Project Runway. We can't wait to see what look she shows at the event!
Veronica Sheaffer- You may recognize Veronica from one of our designer spotlights, and we are so excited this talented creative is taking part in our holiday soiree! The Veronica Sheaffer brand creates fun, whimsical for a woman who’s not afraid to be the life of the party, so you know her take on NYE is going to be a showstopper!

The Bayoud Twins will be working with CIPRIANAMÍA to showcase two coordinating looks from the designer's collection. Twins Assia and Soumaya have a successful Instagram and YouTube channel where they share fashion, beauty, and lifestyle content.
Amy Anderson of Style Cadenza will be wearing an outfit by Veronica Sheaffer for the presentation. Amy creates fashion content based on her personal style. In addition to styling looks for her popular Instagram, she's a professional violinist!
Stephanie Zullo shares life and fashion with a caffeinated twist! This stylish coffee lover shares recipes, fashion, and lifestyle tips. For The Curio's event, she's being dressed by Swaby.
We're also fortunate to have Meiling Jin, dressed by Veronica Sheaffer, as a special style correspondent for the evening, so if you're in attendance, keep your eye out for her, and who knows, you may even end up being one of the interviewees!
